'Umm' (Mum), 'Dadad' and - most ubiquitous - 'Pear'.
'Pear' means pear. And banana. And orange. And biscuit.
In fact, it means anything that's vaguely tasty, and which Gwen wants to eat.

My favourite use of the word?
'Pear-pear' = 'Gimme your boob. I want some milk.'
What a lovely pair.

DeleteThanks for joining in. New linkies open every Tuesday and run until the following Wednesday, so there's plenty of time each week to join in :)
DeleteHahaha brilliant :D Simple, yet very effective!
ReplyDeleteThanks! Been offline on hols for a bit, so I've only just picked up your comment....
DeleteHaha, just saw this! I'm sure she's grown up so much since this post! Harry is just at that babbling stage but his word is 'duck'. My grandparents were from Stoke and everything was 'all right duck?' and so it gives me such a cosy, nostalgic feeling to hear him.
ReplyDeleteAaah! Make sure you get a recording if you can. I still need to capture some of Gwen's cute words on film before she grows up too much!
